This policy explains exactly how we plan to use your personal information when you pass it to us and aim to reassure you that we won’t do anything with it that you wouldn’t reasonably expect. Your personal in information would be your name, email, telephone number or home address.
In developing a better understanding of our supporters through their personal data, this enables us to operate more efficiently and provide a good service to our supporters. By the 25th May 2018, we will move to an ‘opt-in only’ communication policy. This means we will only send marketing communications to those that have explicitly stated that they are happy for us to do so via their preferred channel(s) such as phone, email, text message or post. 2. What information do we collect?
When you get in touch with us, we may ask you to provide your name, email address, telephone number and address (if required) or your bank account details if (for example) you plan to set up a one-off or regular payment by direct debit. 7. Job and contractor applicants and current and former contractors and employees
If you apply to work for Lapco Consultancy, we will only use the information you give us to process your application. We may also collect information (such as your CV or references) so we can assess your suitability for the role.
If we need to disclose information to someone outside Lapco Consultancy – e.g., if we need a reference, plan to use an external supplier to run background checks or need to get a ‘disclosure’ from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) – we will make sure we tell you beforehand, unless we are required to disclose this information by law.
If you begin employment or are contracted by us, we will keep a secure file about your employment or contract and will only use it for matters that apply directly to your employment or contract.
If you are unsuccessful in your job application, we will hold your personal information for six months after we’ve finished recruiting the post you applied for.

If consent is required from you, we will keep you as fully informed as possible at that time on what we will do with your information, how long we will keep it and where it may be shared if relevant. 10. Accessing your personal data held by Lapco Consultancy

11. Links to third party websites
We hold your personal information in accordance with the security provisions of the UK Data Protection legislation. We will always password protect all personal information that we store. We also password protect the company device that any data is stored on and this is normally limited to computers owned by Lapco Consultancy. We will only share data between employees, directors or contractors of the business through secure links such as WeTransfer.com
