Last week saw both Tom and Mark leading a Lapco Train the Trainer course with the team at Houston Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIE).
Lapco Consultancy is supporting the MITIE to import the Lapco ‘Train the Trainer’ programme into the USA. MITIE is one of the USA’s most innovative teaching and educational organisations, that trains over 6,000 health care professionals annually. It aims to improve patient safety through these educational pursuits and to conduct research on skills acquisition and technological development.
Mark Coleman and Tom Cecil, founders of Lapco Consultancy, said:
“We are delighted to feed into MITIE’s training programme to help enhance their own delivery. Our plan is to develop the Lapco model across the USA and expand it to multiple specialities including Gynaeology and Bariatrics. For Lapco to be recognised a prestigious institution as MITIE is a testament to its validity as a leading surgical education programme that is truly universal.”
