We were delighted to deliver two Lapco TT courses at the Medtronic Innovation Centre Korea during November. Surgeons from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, India and the Philippines were invited to improve their surgical training skills.
East Asia was the final part of the world where we hadn’t delivered the Lapco Train the Trainer course. Lapco International is now connected to six continents and we can say our courses are truly universal.
We are delighted to achieve such a significant milestone within our global mission to truly standardise the quality of surgical training:
Lapco Founder Tom Cecil said:
“The current revolution in surgical technology presents significant safety challenges if surgeons are not trained effectively. Implementing a standardised structured teaching framework that’s scalable is essential for the adoption of new technologies and techniques around the world.”
A big welcome to our two newest faculty members: Stuart Salfinger from Australia (a member of the AGES – Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society Limited Lapco TT programme) and prominent Robotic Surgeon Justin Collins from UCL (University College London) who helped teach the course. Other faculty included Tom Cecil, Sharmila Gupta and Mark Gudgeon.
