Day one took place at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Simulation centre. Day two of the programme took place live in the operating room involving 360 degree performance-enhancing feedback for all delegates.
Consultant General and colorectal Surgeon John Griffith introduced laparoscopic colorectal surgery to Bradford in 2003 and has established the unit as a major surgical training centre.
The Lapco Train the Trainers programme was adapted and delivered by leaders of the UK National Training Program for Laparoscopic Surgery, Lapco offer specialist programmes to train experienced surgeons to become better trainers.
