The Lapco team, lead by Lapco founders Tom Cecil and Mark Coleman, have been commissioned to develop a new laparoscopic colorectal training programme called ‘LapNor’.
A team of UK Lapco experts will train a small group of Norwegian delegates over a series of Lapco ‘Train the Trainer’ courses. The delegates will be trained to become faculty, empowering them to independently deliver their own Lapco Train the Trainer programmes back in Norway. This method allows the host country to scale programme delivery effectively to a wider audience, in their native language.
Tom Cecil said: “Lapco surgical training programmes and assessment tools have demonstrated excellent results. It is our aim to develop similar programmes and tools worldwide for improved patient outcomes. We are delighted to be supporting our colleagues in Norway through these tried and tested methods”.
